Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission on 27th Sep 2021. This scheme will provide a separate health ID for every Indian. According to PM, the drive to strengthen the country’s health facilities has entered a new extraordinary phase.
This mission aims to help people find the right doctor, seek instant appointments and avail medicines without making several visits to the hospitals. Under National Digital Health Mission, over one lakh unique health IDs have been created. Let’s find out how this Digital Health ID card will serve the people to bolster their health.
Unique Health ID
A unique 14-digit health identification number is the significant component of this scheme. This ID will work as a health account for the Indians and repository their A to Z health-related information. The health records can be accessed and exchanged with the consent of the citizens.
Digital Health Data
National Digital Health Mission will pave the way for the citizens to have their health-related data available online without compromising its security and confidentiality. The health account will provide every detail regarding a person’s health, from tests, diseases, prescribed medicines, and visits to doctors. Moreover, it will ensure the person can access this information even if they move to a new place or visit a new doctor.
Create Swift ID
One can create a health ID by sharing their basic details and Aadhaar number or mobile number. Then, a person can gain access to all personal health records through a mobile app.
Know Treatment Cost
Health ID created under National Digital Health Mission will be free of cost. Furthermore, it will assist state governments in planning, budgeting and implementing a health program by optimizing the costs through available health data.
Ease For Healthcare Service Providers
This scheme will empower doctors, hospitals and healthcare service providers to do their jobs more easily, ensuring faster patient treatment.
